Investment Advisory Group

The Investment Advisory Group (IAG) was established in February 2001 to provide APFC Trustees with independent insight into the increasingly complex and evolving landscape of institutional investing. Its members bring deep expertise in portfolio management, large-scale fund oversight, and endowment and trust management. Advisors serve staggered three-year terms, ensuring continuity and diverse perspectives.

APFC General Performance Consultant

Callan

Callan has served as APFC’s investment consultant for nearly three decades, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, and the Investment Advisory Group to support the Corporation’s role as a trusted steward of the Fund.

Callan provides core consulting services, including investment policy and procedure review, annual asset allocation planning, performance reporting and analysis, risk assessment, statistical modeling, and manager search, selection, and oversight, along with additional advisory services as needed. Callan also presents at quarterly Board meetings, delivering comprehensive updates on Fund performance and capital market conditions.

APFC operates under the oversight of a six-member Board of Trustees. The Board serves as fiduciaries of the Alaska Permanent Fund and is responsible for ensuring the Fund is managed in accordance with state law and the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and financial stewardship.
