Senior Portfolio Manager – Absolute Return
Youlian Ninkov is the Senior Portfolio Manager for Absolute Return. In this role, he manages a portfolio of $6.2 billion as of June 30, 2025.
In this role, Youlian selects and monitors hedge fund strategies; constructs a balanced and diversified portfolio that provides uncorrelated returns. Youlian has been with APFC for 12 years. Youlian began his career with APFC on the Public Equities team as an analyst, conducting manager due diligence.
Youlian’s previous experience includes working with Amundi AI, covering Macro and CTA managers, as well as Credit Agricole Alternative Investments and Citadel LLC.
Youlian holds dual degrees in Finance and Mathematics, BS, along with an MBA in Finance from Southern Illinois University.
