Chief Financial Officer
Valerie Mertz is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at APFC. She oversees portfolio and corporate accounting; financial and performance reporting; custodial relationships; and the administrative operations function for the corporation.
Valerie first joined APFC in 1993, later establishing her own accounting consultancy before returning as CFO in 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Economics from New Mexico State University and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alaska since 1995.
