
Valeria Martinez is APFC’s Director of Total Fund Cash. Valeria leads liquidity management and collaborates across the organization to enhance cash deployment and to optimize the interest income on cash holdings.
Valeria joined the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation in 2006 and has built broad expertise across finance, investments, and risk. She began in the Finance team, working as an accountant for private markets and alternative investments, including real estate, private equity, fund of hedge funds, and infrastructure. As a member of the investment team, she served as Risk Analyst and Director of Risk and Asset Allocation. In these roles, she contributed to strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk oversight, and supported investment strategies across absolute return, real return, and overlay mandates.
Valeria holds a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska, and an Executive Certificate in Advanced Risk and Investment Management from the Yale School of Management-EDHEC Risk Institute.
