Shannon McCain

Shannon Ely McCain is the Director of Human Resources for the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation, where she works with leadership to support APFC’s workforce and the mission of responsibly managing Alaska’s largest financial asset. Shannon is responsible for guiding APFC’s human resources functions, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and supports a high-performing workforce.

Prior to joining APFC in 2023, Shannon brought over 18 years of HR leadership experience in Alaska’s state and municipal governments, with a background encompassing labor relations, recruitment, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Shannon is a Public Service HR Senior Certified Professional (PSHRA-SCP) and serves as Secretary of the Southeast Regional SHRM Board. Shannon holds a Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration degree from the University of Alaska Southeast.
