Scott Balovich

Scott currently holds the dual roles of Chief Information Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at APFC, where he has been for nearly 9 years. He began at APFC in April 2017 as a Data Center Systems Engineer, a position he held for two years before being promoted to lead the department.

In his current capacity, Scott leads a team including Help Desk technicians, Security Analysts, and Network and Systems Engineers. Together, they strive to deliver top-tier support, contributing to the organization’s exceptional returns.

With almost 28 years of experience in the IT field, Scott has knowledge across both private and public sectors, including roles in the federal and state government. His expertise spans network and data center engineering, and he has also spent a decade as a database engineer and data architect.

Scott’s academic background includes Computer Science programs at the University of Alaska Southeast and the University of Phoenix. He has studied cybersecurity thoroughly and holds numerous professional certifications in the IT industry.
