
Trustee Janelle Earls was appointed Acting Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Revenue on August 8, 2024. Trustee Earls began her career with the State over 20 years ago, serving in both finance and managerial roles. She spent 13 years at the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and has been at the Department of Revenue since May 2024.
Trustee Earls holds the seat on APFC’s Board of Trustees designated under AS 37.13.050(a) for the Commissioner of Revenue following her appointment as Acting Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Revenue on August 8, 2024.

APFC operates under the oversight of a six-member Board of Trustees. The Board serves as fiduciaries of the Alaska Permanent Fund and is responsible for ensuring the Fund is managed in accordance with state law and the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and financial stewardship.
