Investment Operations Manager
Alex Smith serves as the investment operations manager for APFC. He leads the investment operations team in supporting the internal fixed income and public equities portfolio management teams. The team also oversees data integrity, counterparty onboarding, trading infrastructure, and settlement lifecycle for the internally-managed portfolios, and partners with the Public Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams.
Alex has more than seven years of experience with APFC. Originally from rural western Alaska and later residing in Anchorage, he has decades of experience with small businesses, commercial fishing, commercial fuel distribution and maritime operations.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
